The Poker Players Alliance is helping raise awareness about Prevention Connections’ First Annual Texas Hold’em Charity Tournament where you have a chance to win a $10,000 seat for the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.

This charity poker tournament will benefit the work that Prevention Connections does to prevent and reduce tobacco use through education, intervention, policy development and community outreach to improve the health of individuals and communities in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Have you ever watched WSOP Final Tournament on TV and said to yourself, “I play better than some of those players!” Then here is your chance to see how well you play against other poker players from your area – and it’s for a good cause, helping to prevent Virginia’s young people from using tobacco products. Your ticket to play for a chance at the $10,000 seat is a $500 tax-deductible donation.

You could be in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event July 3, 2008 – July 15, 2008! We hope you will join us. Tickets for the event will be on sale through April 22, 2008 and will only be sold online. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Space is Limited!

The event is April 26th, 2008 and there will be a morning session and an afternoon session. Once you register to play you will receive an email letting you know which session you will be playing in. If you have a preference for which session you would like to play in, send an email to:
